Georgia's Attorney General, Chris Carr, and some [.fow1-1]politicians[.fow1-1] from Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, and Oklahoma are not happy with President Joe Biden's new plan about student [.fow1-2]loans[.fow1-2]. President Biden wants to help over 30 million people by paying back their student [.fow1-2]loan[.fow1-2] [.fow1-3]debts[.fow1-3], and this would cost a whole lot of money—about $475 billion. He thinks that college costs are too high and it's really hard for people to pay back the money they borrowed for school.
However, Chris Carr thinks this plan isn't fair. He believes it's not right to use money from all the people who pay taxes to pay off other people's school [.fow1-3]debts[.fow1-3], especially if those people have enough money to pay it themselves. He also thinks this plan is just a way for [.fow1-1]politicians[.fow1-1] to get more people to like them and that it lets the [.fow1-4]government[.fow1-4] do too much.
